Spay and Neuter Services
PAW Team provides free and low-cost veterinary services for cats and dogs of families experiencing houselessness or those living below the federal poverty line. All of PAW Team’s veterinarians are volunteers from our community, dedicating their time to serve pets and people in need of care.
PAW Team does not provide emergency, urgent care, or financial assistance services.
If your pet is experiencing an emergency or needs help right away, please visit this page for resources.
PAW Team does not provide any surgeries on-site. We work with community partners to arrange spay/neuter services at their facilities. As Portland and surrounding areas continue to struggle with a severe and prolonged pandemic-related decrease in routine spay/neuter services, we no longer have regular or reliable access to these procedures.
PAW Team offers spay/neuter assistance to the pets that have been treated at our clinics. Our waitlist is not open to the wider community, due to the overwhelming demand in the Portland area.
Here is a list of lower-cost spay/neuter resources in the Pacific Northwest. Please reach out directly for more information—we cannot guarantee appointment availability with any of these organizations.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. We know spaying or neutering your pet is an important part of keeping your pet healthy and decreasing overpopulation.
