PAW Team provides free and low-cost veterinary services for cats and dogs of families experiencing houselessness or those living below the federal poverty line. All of PAW Team’s veterinarians are volunteers from our community, dedicating their time to serve pets and people in need of care.
PAW Team does not provide emergency, urgent care, or financial assistance services.
If your pet is experiencing an emergency or needs help right away, please visit this page for resources.
PAW Team does not offer walk-in care or same day appointments.
Medical Concerns and Continued Care
For a pet that needs more than a check-up, PAW Team can provide exams and treatment for some health conditions. PAW Team does provide veterinary services, but we are NOT a fully-equipped veterinary hospital. Options for diagnostics or treatment are limited.
PAW Team’s medical services include:
NON URGENT care for minor issues such as superficial wounds, skin/ear infections, gastrointestinal (stomach) upset, etc.
Treatment of some chronic and age-related health conditions.
Medications, supplements, and prescription diets through our in-house pharmacy.
PAW Team is not a dispensing pharmacy, which means we cannot fill medications prescribed by other veterinary clinics.
Limited diagnostic testing on-site or through partner laboratories.
Due to demand, appointments for this kind of care is limited. It can take 6-8 weeks to schedule an appointment. If you are able, we encourage you to seek care at one of our drop-in wellness clinics. If we are unable to help your pet at a drop-in clinic, we will discuss further options and/or resources. It’s always a good idea to bring your pet's medical records. Records can help our medical staff determine if or how PAW Team can help.
