PAW Team provides free and low-cost veterinary services for cats and dogs of families experiencing houselessness or those living below the federal poverty line. All of PAW Team’s veterinarians are volunteers from our community, dedicating their time to serve pets and people in need of care.

PAW Team does not provide emergency, urgent care, or financial assistance services.

If your pet is experiencing an emergency or needs help right away, please visit this page for resources.

Vaccines & Wellness:

PAW Team hosts monthly drop-in clinics for basic wellness and preventative care. There is no walk-in availability outside of the dates listed below.

PAW Team created this low barrier service to provide efficient, high-volume care to better serve the many community members who reach out each week and month seeking care for their pet.

You do not need to pre-qualify for services or have an appointment to attend a Drop-In Clinic. A volunteer veterinarian will perform a thorough exam and provide your pet with vaccinations, microchipping, parasite prevention, and treatment for minor health concerns as needed. Please see the list below to plan your visit.

Important reminders:

  • Clinics are held at PAW Team’s location: 1718 NE 82nd Ave.

  • The number of pets we can see varies at each clinic depending on the number of volunteers we have available.

  • Exams begin at 10am and are first come, first served, however, priority is subject to change as determined by the medical team.

  • Queue numbers are handed out between 10am - 12pm. Keep in mind, your pet’s exam may not take place until much later in the day depending on your number.

  • Wait times vary and can be up to several hours. You will be waiting outdoors, please dress accordingly and keep weather conditions in mind for your pet and yourself.

  • If you are not present when your number is called, you will forfeit your spot and your pet will not be seen that day.

  • Please bring any medical records that you may have for your pet (paper or electronic are fine).
